The National Information Technology Whizkids Competition is to stimulate the interest and passion of young minds in Information Technology. The competition is organized by Nigeria Computer Society and other partners for Secondary school students. Entrants are expected to participate in the competition which is fully on IT related topics.
2025 Winner
- To enter, interested applicants must currently be enrolled in any secondary school across the Nation.
- Each school is to register not less than two applicants for the competition.
- Each applicant is to pay a non-refundable registration fee of Two Thousand Naira (N2,000.00) online to complete the application.
- Entry applicants must fill the competition application form via www.ncs.org.ng
- Entry applicants are to submit their evidence of registration fees payment and electronic copy of their passport with the online form.
- Application portal opens-16th March 2026 and closes on 15th May, 2026.
- State level competition will be held on 4th June 2026.
- Zonal level competition will be held on 23rd June, 2026
- National level competition will be held on 30th June 2026, and the results will be announced that same day.
- Peradventure there is a tie in the scores; another quiz will be fixed to determine the winners.
- Winners will be officially recognized and awarded during the NCS Annual Conference.
- Any costs or expenses incurred by entrants for participating in the competition are at the applicant’s account. The organizers will only provide the prize for awardees
- The decision of the panel of judges is final and is not subject to any form of appeal with regards to selection of finalists.
The Competition is open to Senior Secondary (SS) 1 & 2 Students in any secondary school (Private and Public) in Nigeria. It is also open to Brilliant JSS3 Students that wish to participate. The entry application must be filled and submitted online.
Computer Studies Curriculum as approved by the Federal Government of Nigeria and emerging trends in Technology.
